Aspheric Lens Collimator

Optical_Module

Aspheric Lens Collimator is an optical device which changes the diverging light from a fiber into a parallel beam, or couples a parallel beam into a fiber, by using an aspheric lens.

The pigtail style Aspheric Lens Collimator consists of a stainless steel housing and an spheric lens. 1m of single mode fiber is pigtailed to the compact collimation package.

The fiber end pigtailed to the collimation package is angle-polished and AR-coated to minimize reflections at the design wavelength. The long focal lengths versions have an angled housing to accommodate the angle polish. The deflection caused by the angled output over the extremely short focal lengths collimators is negligible, allowing these versions to have straight housings.

Fiberwe manufactures our Collimator with various types of fiber, such as SMF, MMF, PMF, and specialty fiber like non-fluorescent, UV fibers, and Mid-IR fibers etc.
