Arrayed Waveguide Grating (AWG) is an optical device used in DWDM systems to transmit high count channel signals onto single optical fiber. Compared with the traditional thin film filter technology, the cost of AWG is not dependent on wavelength count, which makes it extremely suitable for large channel number applications.

Athermal AWG (AAWG) is temperature-insensitive. The focal point of AAWG also shifts as the temperature changes, but the center wavelength is kept constant because the output wavelengths are moved to this shifted focal point by thermal contraction and expansion of a specially-designed copper plate. This compensation is also applied when light is input from the output port. AAWG does not need additional electricity power. It is a pure passive optical device.

Fiberwe manufactures a complete line of Athermal AWG products, such as O-band Gaussian 17 Channel Athermal AWG, 40 Channel 100GHz Athermal AWG, C-band Flat-top 48 Channel 100GHz Athermal AWG, 96 Cannel 50GHz Athermal AWG, 64 Channel 75GHz Athermal AWG, 80 Channel 50GHz Athermal AWG, AWG in Module or 1U Rack mount, etc. with high quality and a low offered price.
